I'M FOUR!

Wow, how did we get to FOUR already? How time flies. Adeline woke up so excited this morning to be one year closer to five. She opened a few gifts at the table including some Hello Kitty headphones to go with her new boombox. Ironically, the boombox does not have a headset outlet. Hmm...
For school, we brought some fancy yogurt & fruit parfait cups to share (thanks for the suggestion, Monica). Later Andrea returned to do an art project with the class - pounding crayons into bits and melting them down into various shapes. Above is an excerpt from the daily page we receive from her teachers each day.

Our Morning Surprise

We woke up this morning to find our yard dusted with a couple inches of snow. The kids couldn't wait to put on their snow boots and stomp around before school.
Dad helped the kids make a mini snowman. Unfortunately the magical snow will probably melt by the end of the day. At least it was fun for now!

I've Got the RSV Blues

~Start with blues guitar melody~
Day four with my mama
and nothing left to do
My nose is like a faucet
I've got the RSV Blues

~Add harmonica solo here~
My coughs they make me gaggy
and sometimes make me yack
I've tried all my sister's clothes on
oh daycare, take me back

Tacoma Time

We are just overjoyed that Monica and the gang are back from Oaxaca. We just couldn't wait to come up and visit at their house. We tacked on an overnight the weekend Cooper and I went up to Seattle. I only snapped a few pics on my phone, but I promise, we had loads of fun and Kodak moments with the girls and Josh as well.
Cooper couldn't keep his hands off Lena. He'd hug her wherever he could, including a few squeezes on the rump. He also enjoyed lots of face licks and dog-chasing. I think he wiped her out.

See ya, Zia!

Recently Cooper and I had the opportunity to take a trip to visit our friends Mary, Mark & Zia in Seattle for a long weekend. Taking the train seemed like a good idea, but 2 hrs. into the 4 hr. trip, he was pounding on the windows crying "outside, OUTSIDE!"
He's such a nature boy. We had a quick cool-off on our walk to the car after sitting in on Zia's weekly dance class. It was a workout for not only the kids but their caretakers too!
Cooper had so much fun with Zia who graciously shared all of her toys and whatnot. I'm not sure which one won the spaghetti eating contest that night.
Cooper gives Zia a lift one rainy afternoon at the park. He wasn't bothered by the wet play structures one bit. Just happy to be OUTSIDE!
