Big Girl Bed

Adeline graduated to a "Big Girl Bed" 2 weeks ago. It was well-received initially, but the naps & nights have proven to be a challenge. The bolsters & bumpers cannot even keep her contained and she often sleeps on the floor so that she can see under the bedroom door into the kitchen. Our hope is that the cold hard floor will eventually frustrate her enough to climb back into her comfy bed along with Baby & Monkey.
Funny story: The first few days of transition were very playful for her as she realized she had the freedom to get out of her bed and have free-reign of her room & toys. Her first nap we came in the room to find all 6 of her closest plush friends all lined up on the floor fully DIAPERED! The next day we found the same toys lined up on the floor, each with it's own blanket, tucked in for a nap.

Puffy Playdate

Our friend Martina opened her house to us for a little playdate the other weekend. She has a new puppy named "Puffy" who was just as excited to meet Adeline as she was to meet her.


Here Adeline tries to get Puffy to play chase with her. I'm not sure who is more nervous, Adeline or Puffy? We spent the rest of our visit feeding both of them treats, singing songs & eating strawberries.

Day at the Discovery Museum

Adeline spent a sunny morning with Claudia up at the Discovery Museum in Sausalito. First stop, make the fish swim upstream in the creek.

Next stop, hit the art room and see how messy you can make your hands & clothes.

Bathing Beauty

Lita sent Adeline a beautiful purple polka-dotted bathing suit for Easter! I seem to remember the Easter Bunny sending me a new bathing suit every year when I was a kid. Ah, brings back memories... She loved the skirt feature on the suit and was eager to wear it the following Sunday to her swim lesson.

Easter in Tacoma

We were between Seattle & Tacoma for Easter weekend this year. Adeline got lots of time together with her cousins Nayana & Ella as well as Monica & Josh. The girls decorated Easter eggs, went on an egg hunt and had lots of fun!
