Mommy Came to Class Today

Claudia has been taking Adeline and Oscar to a special activities class for toddlers a few times a week. I had the opportunity to tag along today and play too. They started with a good stretch on the ladder. Oscar's face says it all.

Next we head upstairs to play in the water trays. They caught lots of fish and Adeline liked to pick out the starfish & "treasures".

Clean up time! The kids all pitch in to put away toys and roll up the carpets. Hey, all this play ain't for free!

Friday's are a big hit because they pull out the parachute. The kids all sit on top while the adults pull it running in a circle singing "Motor Boat". I got a little nudge from the lady behind me for going too slow...

Pee-Pee in the Potty

Adeline has been practicing her potty training for the past week. She's already had 4 successful attempts! Here she sits and reads some nursery rhymes while she waits patiently.

I'm gonna be a Big Sister!

Yes, you read that right, Adeline is going to have a baby brother this July! She has taken quite an interest in her baby doll lately and loves to swaddle it, rock it & sing lullabies. We think she's going to be a great big sister!

Goodbye Clyde!

Although she hasn't made much mention of the fact that Clyde has left us for Kitty Heaven, we know that Adeline misses her feline pal. He endured many pets & pulls, hugs & hair losses. We'll miss him dearly.

Happy Birthday to Who?

Adeline tried her best to sing Happy Birthday for Patrick on the 31st.

Happy New Year!

We did our annual visit to Pier 39 on New Year's Day. We like to check out the sea lions, eat some mini donuts, drink some hot cocoa & ride the carousel.

Did I mention that it was REALLY COLD?!? This picture says it all.

Oregon-bound for the Holidays

Aunts & Uncles & Cousins... oh my! The DeHart Clan met up in Grants Pass, Oregon this year for our holiday visit. Adeline survived the 7-hr. car trip and slept like a champ.

Sitting pretty with her cousins on the porch of cabin we rented up in Oregon. They had lots of fun with her and she taught them a few new songs and dance moves.

Although we didn't get any snow in Grants Pass, we made the best of the rainy weather with walks around the area and a visit to the mall.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree!

Somebody must have been GOOD this year, because Santa spoiled her rotten. Not only did she get a shiny red potty seat, but lots of cuddly new friends to play with. Lots of books, bakeware, tea sets, rain gear & an array of musical instruments. The fun never stopped.

We taught Adeline that the only way you can turn on the Christmas lights was to clap as fast and as loud as you can. It was such a joy to watch her "clap on" the Christmas tree every morning. After she accomplished that, she'd head straight for the Advent Calendar for her daily treat.
